Reel Life

Children at play act like directors: they imagine entire worlds, characters, and circumstances. When playing with toys, they manipulate their view to experience their toys as if they are real, holding up their toys close to their eyes or lying close to the ground as if framing their “shots.” In this regard, child’s play and filmmaking share a kinship in imagination.

In this film, our 4-year-old’s creative energy is clearly the inspiration.
